The University of Iowa College of Education’s Scanlan Center for School Mental Health is a partner organization in a new $2.6 million U.S. Department of Education grant that will support mental health services and professionals in schools.

With support from UI WILD and the UI College of Education, the College of Law’s Hubbell Environmental Law Initiative recently launched Wildlife and Habitat Conservation Law, a new interdisciplinary environmental law field course.

Counselor Education and Supervision doctoral student Tevin Middleton is working to increase the number of minority students who pursue higher education and the counselor profession by addressing mental health services in schools.

The College of Education’s Global Education Initiatives continue to strengthen existing partnerships and create new opportunities for students and faculty, including programs in Costa Rica, Finland, Ghana, the UK, Japan, Kosovo, and Norway, among other collaborations.

With the support of the Young Family Scholarship, Aldo Loya is working to direct youth and help people through education.

Thanks to the Albert Hieronymus and Family Scholarship, Eric Akuoko is able to pursue innovative education research that makes an impact on students and learning.
