The University of Iowa College of Education recognized and celebrated the contributions of faculty and staff at the Spring Faculty and Staff meeting.
Several College of Education faculty members were recognized for their teaching, research, and service at the UI College of Education Spring Faculty and Staff meeting. Those recognized include the following:
Bruhn, an associate professor of special education, received the Outstanding Researcher Mid-Career Award.
Hand, a science education professor, is one of six UI faculty members who received a 2021 Iowa Regents Award for Faculty Excellence, which will be formally presented in June. This is one of Iowa’s highest honors for faculty achievement.
Leslie Locke:
Locke, an associate professor in educational leadership, received the Collegiate Teaching Award. The award is the college’s highest distinction. Honorees are nominated by students and faculty for their excellence in teaching.
Manternach, an assistant professor in music education, received the Outstanding Researcher Early Career Award.
McDermott, a clinical professor of science education, received the Collegiate Teaching Award. The award is the college’s highest distinction. Honorees are nominated by students and faculty for their excellence in teaching.
