College of Education faculty and staff garnered recognition and honors from our university, state, national, and international organizations.

Three UI College of Education faculty were recently awarded a five-year, $800,000 grant that will fund the Interdisciplinary Counseling, Rehabilitation, and Special Education Service Training project, a collaboration between faculty in the college’s Rehabilitation Counseling and Special Education programs.

Linda R. Baker, College of Education alumna, champion of global education, philanthropist, and long-time supporter of the University of Iowa, is the recipient of the 2023 International Impact Award for her efforts to foster cultural competency and global awareness.

Alumna Amira Nash, a doctoral student focusing on teaching and learning: literacy, culture, and language education, and associate director of partnerships and programs in the Baker Teacher Leader Center, is a recipient of the 2023 Global Student Award.
