Scholarship application for 2026-27 is now OPEN!
Application Periods for 2026-27 Scholarships
The application process for the 2025-2026 academic year opens on October 26, 2025, and is accessible via the Iowa Scholarship Portal. We have three distinct timelines for scholarship applications:
- New Undergraduate Students (First-Year Applicants)
- Priority deadline: January 31, 2026
- If you are a new undergraduate student, it is important to apply before January 31 to ensure that any scholarship awards can be factored into your financial aid package. Early application will maximize your opportunities for financial support and help ensure you have a clear picture of your overall financial aid.
- Returning Undergraduate Students
- Priority deadline: February 28, 2026
- Current undergraduate students enrolled in a College of Education program must submit their applications by February 28. This ensures consideration for the wide array of scholarships that can support your continued education.
- Graduate Students
- Priority deadline: February 28, 2026
- Graduate students should also complete their applications by February 28 to understand their full aid package before the May 1 decision date. Scholarships are available for students pursuing graduate-level education across various disciplines within the College of Education.
Applications received after the priority deadlines will be considered if funding remains available.

To apply, you will need to complete your application through the Iowa Scholarship Portal. This form will ask for basic information about your academic background, career goals, non-academic responsibilities, community involvement, professional experiences, and a brief personal statement (100 words or less). It is recommended that you submit your FAFSA prior to completing your scholarship application.
