Rose Orr Represents REACH as a Direct Support Professional Ambassador
Rose Orr, a resident assistant for REACH, had the opportunity to be a Director Support Professional (DSP) ambassador at ANCOR's 2025 Hill Day. “I had a really great time, and I was able to meet so many amazing people from Iowa, and around the U.S., who work in different organizations that do similar work.” Rose says. “I was also able to inform more people about the UI REACH program and how special it is. Additionally, I was able to network with many people in the DSP field, and I loved hearing about all of their programs and why the work they do matters to them. I spoke with senators and representatives from Iowa and told them about the UI REACH program and about events I have held that promote inclusivity with traditional and UI REACH students, specifically an event I held last year in collaboration with Special Olympics!”
