University of Iowa undergrads, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars are blazing new trails in research, scholarship, and creative activities—improving the lives of Iowans and people around the world. Each year, the Office of the Vice President for Research’s (OVPR) Dare to Discover banner campaign highlights researchers and scholars from across the university. 

The following UI College of Education students will be featured on the 2026 Dare to Discover banners that are displayed throughout downtown Iowa City:

Alex Pauls (PhD student, school psychology, MA, educational measurement and statistics)

Olga Colmenero Carrillo (undergraduate student, elementary education)

Harry Bui (undergraduate student, science studies)

The banners, the eleventh installation of the campaign, will be displayed throughout downtown Iowa City from January to March 2026.
