Thirty University of Iowa colleges and programs were recognized among the best in their field in the U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings for 2024. Five UI programs, including the College of Education’s Rehabilitation Counseling program which came in at No. 3 (previously ranked No. 9), received a top-10 ranking in this year’s report.
An accredited master’s program, Rehabilitation Counseling prepares graduates for careers serving persons with emotional and physical disabilities through counseling, human resources, advocacy, leadership, case management, life care planning, forensic rehabilitation, corrections, consultation, private and public service.
The college received an overall ranking of 36 (up from No. 39) and an additional four of its graduate and licensure preparation programs were nationally ranked in the top 20 by U.S. News & World Report: Student Counseling (No. 12), which includes the Counselor Education and Supervision PhD, School Counseling MA, and School Social Worker Licensure Preparation, and Higher Education Administration (No. 19).
The University of Iowa as a whole continues to excel, with 21 total colleges and programs ranked among the top 25 in the nation.
