The University of Iowa College of Education ranks 47th nationally against all public and private education colleges and 34th best public college of education according to the U.S. News & World Report's 2021 edition of Best Graduate Schools.
Each year, U.S. News & World Report ranks professional schools in business, education, engineering, law, medicine, and nursing.
The yearly professional school (non-specialty) rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research, and students. The data come from surveys of administrators in relevant fields conducted during fall 2019 and early 2020.
Overall, the UI has 61 graduate colleges and programs ranked by U.S. News, according to the 2021 report. Two College of Education graduate programs made it into the top 10.
