Happy “Where Do You Work?” Wednesday! This week meet alumna Gina Marino (MA ’16 Higher Education and Student Affairs).

Marino is the Director of Alumnae and Volunteer Development at Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. Headquarters Office in North Liberty, Iowa. Founded at the University of Iowa in 1990 to create a space for Latina women across campus, Sigma Lambda Gamma has a diverse membership across the nation that strives to provide a mechanism of empowerment to women.

“I love that I get to make an impact across the country at multiple universities and train volunteers on how to work with collegiate members through student development theory,” says Marino. “I am also extremely grateful that I have the opportunity to continue a legacy that began at the University of Iowa 28 years ago.”

Marino is grateful to the College of Education for helping her find life-long friends and mentors that have helped her be successful and confident in her professional career and personal life.
