College of Education standard configurations

Computers for new faculty and staff or replacements of current old computers are transitioning to laptops. These will be centrally managed by our IT staff helping us not only troubleshoot and support the systems but also assuring needed critical security features and updates are pushed out.

The Dell UltraSharp monitor includes dock- hub features. It has an Ethernet port, 4 USB ports and multiple AV ports. The idea is the Dell display will be located at the primary place of work and the laptop can be taken to other places as needed.

The options include a Macbook Air (Mac OS) with a wireless mouse, laptop bag, along with a Dell Ultrasharp 24" monitor.

The Windows option is a Dell Latitude 5420 with a wireless mouse, laptop bag, along with a Dell 24" Ultrasharp monitor.

All have solid state drives. External keyboard can be provided by our tech staff.

If you require additional upgrades we can provide updated quotes for the changes but you will need to work with your department to pay the additional costs for the items.
