Introduction
Randall Boen PhD, is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Counselor Education. Prior to joining the university in the fall semester 2022, Boen taught at Southern University and A&M College. He earned a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling and Ph.D. in Rehabilitation in 2014 and 2018, respectively, from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale (SIU). Boen’s clinical experiences include as an outpatient mental health counselor and as a graduate assistant within the Disability Support Services office at SIU. Boen research interest include mental health stigma, the professional practice of vocational evaluation, and disability attitudes.
