The School Psychology Program is phasing out the previous accredited version of the program. However, the program will begin admitting students again in Fall 2020; applications are due January 15. We intend to fully restore the program and seek full accreditation by APA going forward. The program has been continually accredited by APA since 1992.

The Dean of the College of Education at the University of Iowa School Psychology program has announced that the program will be accepting applicants for the fall 2020 semester. We are in the process of restructuring to focus on mental health issues facing children and adolescents and their families.

The program is structured to offer the PhD degree, with an EdS option available to students who are enrolled. Graduates with degrees in School Psychology have had successful careers in schools, medical settings, mental health organizations, and private practice.

Potential applicants who are interested in learning more about the program are encouraged to contact Professor Stewart Ehly, the coordinator of the program. His email address is
