Close campus friendships, including those between roommates, are important to academic success and graduation, says UI College of Education professor Nicholas A. Bowman.

Many fond memories were made at the 2017 Iowa State Fair on Friday, Aug. 18. Faculty, staff, students, and alumni helped spread the word about the University of Iowa College of Education.  

Jake Chung is assistant superintendent for personnel and planning at Arlington Heights School District 25 in Arlington Heights, Ill., and an alumnus of the University of Iowa College of Education. Chung, also a member of the UI College of Education Advisory Board, was recently given a "shout out" in the Chicago Tribune.

Grinnell College Dean of Students Sarah Reshetar Moschenross attributes much of her success as a leader to her experiences at the University of Iowa College of Education.

The Perry Research Scholars Institute, a two-week summer camp program for eighth-, ninth-, and 10th-graders organized by the College of Education’s Belin-Blank Center, introduces high school students to a variety of academic research so they can explore their interests and plan for the future.

The Belin-Blank Center will continue to strengthen STEM-positive environments for rural Iowa 6th- to 8th-graders through the STEM Excellence and Leadership program.
