As part of a $2.2 million grant from Advocacy, Capacity, and Collaboration for English Learners (ACCEL) in Iowa, the UI College of Education hosted a two day professional development session on July 24-26 to help increase the effectiveness of English-learner instruction in Iowa while also helping teachers become advocates for dual-language learning.
