What does your job entail with Iowa Testing Programs?
I manage the development of test questions, test assembly, and publication work for Iowa Testing Programs. I supervise nine exceptional colleagues who work on content development and editorial tasks to support the creation of test forms for the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) and the Iowa Assessments.
What is your favorite part about working at the College of Education?
Although I don't work with them directly, I really enjoy being around undergraduate students. It's such a great time of life and their energy is inspiring.
What is your favorite memory as a Hawkeye?
I only saw Caitlin Clark play once at Carver Hawkeye, but it sure was memorable!
What are your hobbies, interests, or special talents? What would colleagues be surprised to know about you?
My wife Erin and I have lived on a "hobby farm" near Solon for the past 24 years. We have chickens, two horses, and one obnoxious goat.
Where is your favorite place to eat in downtown Iowa City?
Pho at Saigon's Corner or the falafel sandwich at Oasis (though they should move it closer to Lindquist).
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? (No limitations)
Any major league or minor league baseball park (day game preferably).
