Happy Wednesday Hawkeyes! With the start of the school year underway, we are excited to introduce another UI College of Education alumnus for this week’s “Where Do You Work” Wednesday!

Andrew Davis, originally from Wapello, Iowa, graduated from the University of Iowa College of Education in 2017 with a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership with Principal Licensure.

Before serving as the Associate Principal and Activities Director at Prairie Point Middle School in Cedar Rapids, Davis was a science instructor for eighth grade from 2000 until 2017.

Davis says his education at the University of Iowa had a big impact on his life.

“My education provided me with the foundational skills to become an educational leader and life-long learner in the field of public education,” says Davis. “The professors at Iowa and my fellow colleagues in my cohort provided diverse perspectives and thought-provoking ideas.”

“It has been a life-long dream to become fully engrossed in the University of Iowa culture and to become a full-blooded Hawkeye,” says Davis.

“The University of Iowa is a world-renowned university… I am proud to call myself a fellow Hawkeye and Iowan.
