The Multilingual Education teacher education and graduate programs are designed to develop leaders in language instruction, research, and education.

Multilingual Education offers undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education degrees that focus on World Language Education, English as a Second Language, and Bilingual Education. Students in the programs focus on many different languages, learned and taught all over the world.

Overview

The dual degree program in World Language Education prepares students for teaching grades 5 through 12. Students earn two bachelor's degrees: a bachelor of arts from the College of Education, and a bachelor's degree from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS)

    Overview

    The  program in Foreign Language Education prepares students to teach selected foreign languages to grades 5-12.

    Overview

    The M.A.T. in World Language Education prepares candidates to be effective and engaging teachers in K-12 public and private settings.

    The program  is designed for superior liberal arts graduates who have had few or no professional education courses. Successful completion of the program leads to elementary and/or secondary teacher licensure. The program has focus areas in Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Latin, Spanish, and Russian.

          Overview

          The M.A. in Multilingual Education allows students to design a program of study with a specific area of focus. The M.A. program provides in-depth preparation in theoretical and practical aspects of language learning and teaching.
