Twenty three University of Iowa programs, including three College of Education graduate programs, were ranked in the top 25 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

U.S. Department of Education grant addresses teacher shortage, diversifies workforce

The U.S. Department of Education has awarded the UI College of Education a $1.26 million grant for a program that will partner with Iowa school districts, community colleges, and community partners. The program will support 40 high quality elementary teachers through coursework and field experiences, resulting in a Bachelor of Arts, a teaching license, and a K12 ESL endorsement in Iowa.

The College of Education Makerspace will be holding an open house to invite members of the College of Education, community partners and their families to take a look at the College of Education's newest facility. Participants will get a firsthand look at what goes on inside the Makerspace and have the opportunity to get hands on experience with some of the technology and STEAM activities for the whole family.
