The College of Education is hosting a blood drive with the DeGowin Blood Center on Thursday, Feb. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The drive will be held at the Lindquist Center in the Jones Commons Room (N300) and all blood collected will be used to support patients at UI Health Care and Stead Family Children's Hospital. Walk in will be accepted as time allows, appointments are preferred.
When donating remember to:
- Bring a photo ID
- Drink Plenty of fluids and have a good meal before donating
- Be free of cold and flu symptoms for five days
- Provide a list of medications you take
- Bring a list of places and dates you have traveled out the US in the last three years
- Blood donations take about 45–60 minutes from when you arrive until you leave
