Per accreditation standards and best practice, programs should review their vision, mission, and strategic plan periodically for updates. Gathering information and perspectives from stakeholders is an important part of the review process. Below are the current vision, mission, and strategy statements for the UI REACH program alongside three questions to encourage reflection.

Current Vision Statement: Empowered and self-directed individuals that are included in communities that embrace people of all abilities. Does this statement adequately state what we would like to see as a result of the work done at UI REACH?

Current Mission Statement: Cultivating individualized supports and opportunities that promote advocacy and success in everyday life. Does this statement adequately represent what we do at UI REACH to achieve our vision?

Current Strategic Plan Pillars:

  • Program Excellence: embracing best practices and pursuit of accreditation
  • Program Awareness: sharing the word about UI REACH in a variety of forums and formats
  • Program Sustainability: creation of systems and resources that will ensure UI REACH’s existence for years to come
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: ensuring that persons and agencies involved with UI REACH have an individualized and stellar experience

As the current strategic plan sunsets, do you think any of the above listed pillars should continue, and is there anything that should be added?

We’d love to hear your thoughts on these. Please take a moment to fill out the survey form to provide input. Thanks in advance for your contribution to keeping UI REACH strong into the future.
