Each year, the Office of the Vice President for Research’s (OVPR) Dare to Discover banner campaign highlights 80 researchers and scholars from across the University of Iowa.

Research conducted by Aubrey McEnroe, a PhD student in the counseling psychology program, was selected to be featured in this year’s campaign.

McEnroe, who is from Algona, Iowa, explores the intersection of mental health and rural life, investigating how the unique stressors of agricultural work impact mental well-being. Specifically, her research examines the effects of discrimination on the mental health and career outcomes of women in agriculture throughout the United States.

The Dare to Discover banners will be displayed throughout downtown Iowa City through March of 2025.
