Happy “Where Do You Work?” Wednesday! This week meet alumna Jason Dandoy (BA ’00 Elementary Education).

Dandoy works as the Superintendent of Schools in the Turner Unified School District in Kansas City, Kansas. He has worked in the Turner School District for the past 12 years. Prior to this position, Dandoy has served as a school principal, director of student services, and assistant superintendent of business and public relations.

“In my role, I have the opportunity to positively impact each learner and the outstanding educators who serve them, says Dandoy. “I love that each day brings new challenges and opportunities."

Dandoy is grateful for the many professional growth opportunities the University of Iowa College of Education offered him.

“The College of Education helped spark my passion for public education and supporting students,” says Dandoy. “Faculty at the University of Iowa were extremely knowledgeable and demonstrated great care with us as students. I strive to demonstrate this same approach in my professional career.”
