Happy “Where Do You Work?” Wednesday! This week meet alumnus Eugene Parker (Ph.D ’15 Educational Policy and Leadership Studies).

Parker is an Assistant Professor in Higher Education Administration at the University of Kansas in the department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.

“I love working with and teaching graduate students,” says Parker. “Our students come from diverse backgrounds, and facilitating meaningful discourse and fostering effective learning is a salient aspect of my job.”

Parker believes that his time with University of Iowa faculty members helped him become a better faculty member himself.

“The faculty at Iowa are highly regarded. Working with those scholars has been an invaluable asset that has provided me with many benefits as an early career faculty member,” says Parker.
