Strong Girls Read Strong Books, a weekly after-school program, is using books to talk with girls at local elementary schools about how to be strong. The program was founded by University of Iowa College of Education Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Graduate Programs Amanda Thein and Associate Professor Renita Schmidt.
