The Martin and Melva Bucksbaum Early Entrance Academy for science, technology, engineering, arts and math enrolled its first class of highly able high school students from across the state and around the country this past fall. The academy is part of the Belin-Blank International Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development at the University of Iowa College of Education. This exceptional opportunity is the result of a $10 million gift from Mary Bucksbaum Scanlan and Patrick Scanlan to the Belin-Blank Center in early 2016.
