Each year, the Office of the Vice President for Research’s (OVPR) Dare to Discover banner campaign highlights 80 researchers and scholars from across the University of Iowa.
Research conducted by Kun Wang, a PhD student in the counseling psychology program, was selected to be featured in this year’s campaign.
Wang, who is from Fuzhou, China, scales up psychotherapy benefits. His broad research goal is to advance the understanding of what makes psychotherapy effective. He focuses on cultural factors that can either hinder or enhance the psychotherapy experience for clients from a wide range of backgrounds.
