The requirements for master's degrees will include a final examination consisting of a written part and an oral part. Such an examination will not duplicate course examinations. It will be evaluated by the examining committee as satisfactory or unsatisfactory. If the committee unanimously evaluates the written part as satisfactory, it may waive the oral part. In the event of one or more unsatisfactory votes, the committee must conduct an oral part of the exam. In the event of two unsatisfactory votes on the oral exam, the committee must judge the exam as unsatisfactory.

  • For Master’s non-thesis final exam: Final exam reports are due by the set deadline for that semester (deadlines listed on Exam Reports).
  • For Master’s thesis final exam: All Exam Reports must be completed via Workflow no later than 2 days after the submitted exam date AND, if student is graduating that session, by the set semester deadline.
