This session is designed to empower pre-service educators with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to seamlessly integrate Social, Emotional, Behavioral, and Mental Health (SEBMH) practices into daily classroom routines. As the need for holistic student support continues to grow, embedding SEBMH strategies into everyday teaching is not just beneficial—it’s essential.

We'll examine current data on the impact of SEBMH practices in schools, highlighting improved student engagement, academic achievement, behavior outcomes, and overall school climate. Then through guided exploration, participants will learn practical strategies to support the full implementation of SEBMH in their classrooms—regardless of grade level or subject area. Strategies include daily emotional check-ins, routine-based coping skill reinforcement, trauma-sensitive classroom management, and embedding SEL competencies into academic instruction.

What You Will Learn

1. Understand the core components and significance of SEBMH in educational settings.
2. Analyze data demonstrating the positive impact of SEBMH.
3. Explore practical, low-barrier strategies for integrating SEBMH into everyday classroom routines.
