In this workshop, students will learn how they can best fit STEAM into their classrooms. This will include a discussion of how to integrate tools, knowledge, and practices from different STEAM fields, align activities with standards, and assess STEAM learning. Students will then have an opportunity to practice designing and critiquing STEAM lesson plans and discuss standards alignment and assessment strategies for those lessons. This workshop is required for participation in the STEAM track. Please bring a laptop to the workshop if possible as you will need it for some of the hands-on and collaborative activities.
What You Will Learn:
To learn how to design and facilitate interest-driven, inclusive STEAM activities.
