This workshop is mandatory for students in the GO track. What are the pedagogies that drive successful learning outcomes in programs and curricula that include teaching and learning for global perspectives? What does it mean to center social-justice education to promote more inclusive spaces for teaching and learning? This workshop will examine several case studies and examples of curriculum design strategies for teaching and learning for global perspectives including the UN Sustainable Development Goals and UN Human Rights Declaration as frameworks.

What You Will Learn:

  1. Participants will understand the meaning of global education (GE) and global citizenship education (GCE).

  2. Participants will develop their critical views on the interconnectedness of local, national and global events, history and cultures.

  3. Participants will apply their learning of the concept of GE & GCE into their teaching practice.
