Description: One of the best parts of a career in education is the variety of opportunities for expertise and personal interest. There are different subjects to teach, different ways to teach, different clubs/sports/organizations to lead, and specialty areas of focus. One such specialty area is the world of advanced learners. Come to this session to learn more about this specialty area, the training required, and examples from years of experience.

Learning Goals: 1) Introduce advanced learners and their unique needs. 2) Explore the requirements of Iowa Code for advanced learners. 3) Discuss the requirements for being endorsed to work with advanced learners. 4) Foster inspiration to seek additional professional growth in advanced learning to become advocates.
