The Pedagogies of Teaching, Learning, and Assessing for Global Perspectives

Description: What are the pedagogies that drive successful learning outcomes in programs and curricula that include teaching and learning for global perspectives? What does it mean to center social-justice education to promote more inclusive spaces for teaching and learning? This workshop will examine several case studies and examples of curriculum design strategies for teaching and learning for global perspectives using the UN Sustainable Development Goals and UN Human Rights Declaration as frameworks. 

Learning goals: Participants will understand fundamental principles of pedagogies for designing teaching for global perspectives. Participants will analyze examples of lesson plans related to teaching global topics. Participants will demonstrate their learning through discussion and activity.
