Dyslexia Simulation

Description: This workshop will walk through a series of activities that are intended to simulate the reduced automaticity that individuals with dyslexia experience as they complete tasks related to reading, writing, and language processing. The purpose of the simulation is to help participants gain a better understanding of and empathy for students with dyslexia. Note: Due to the interaction requirements of the simulation, this workshop will be synchronous and in-person.

Learning goals: 1.) Students will be able to define dyslexia. 2.) Students will be able to describe the experience of reading, writing, and language processing for an individual with dyslexia.
