Saturday Art workshop students showing their projects.

As part of community outreach, Art Education offers fall Saturday Art Workshops for young artists in kindergarten through sixth grade. A highly successful program of more than three decades, the Saturday Art Workshops offer artistic opportunities for young students and provide authentic teaching opportunities for College of Education art education pre-service teachers.

We’re back!

The Art Education Program and the College of Education are delighted to share that our Saturday Morning Art Workshop will be running a 6-week session for kindergarten through sixth grade students each Saturday from October 2nd through November 6th, 2021.

This year we are pleased to offer families the option to sign up for either online or in-person programming, both of which will run from 9:30 – 10:30 am. All in-person sessions will take place in the Art Education Studio located in North Hall on the University campus. Online sessions will take place over Zoom using art materials that families will pick-up from campus each week.

The fee for both online and in-person programs is $60, paid by check or cash on the first day of the workshop and/or at materials pick-up. Partial and full-funding are available for families who find this fee to be a barrier and caregivers who are full-time students.
