Gerta Bardhoshi, an associate professor in the Department of Rehabilitation and Counselor Education in the University of Iowa College of Education, has been named a top contributor to the Journal of Counseling and Development. 

A recent meta-study of publication patterns for the Journal of Counseling and Development (JCD) in the last 20 years identifies Bardhoshi among the top 10 most prolific JCD contributors in the past decade.

Bardhoshi has been a counselor educator for nine years, and a faculty member at the University of Iowa for the past six years. She was identified as sixth among a list of the top 16 contributors from 2010-2019. JCD, published since 1921, is the flagship journal of the American Counseling Association and publishes practice, theory, and research articles across 18 different counseling specialty areas and work settings.

Bardhoshi has served on the JCD Editorial Board for the past six years. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling, and the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. She is also a Senior Research Fellow in the UI Public Policy Center.
