Dyslexia 101

Description: This workshop will provide an overview of what dyslexia is and what it is not. We will address some common myths regarding dyslexia. The information provided in this workshop will help participants recognize when students might be exhibiting signs of dyslexia. This workshop will also cover the important elements of a supportive learning environment for students identified with dyslexia. 

Learning Objective:   

Students will be able to define dyslexia. Students will be able to list 5 characteristics that individuals with dyslexia may exhibit. Students will be able to identify characteristics of dyslexia in samples of student work.
