Trauma-Informed Learning Environments and Key Practices for All Classrooms

Description: Trauma-informed learning environments have the potential to benefit all students, from those experiencing complex trauma to those experiencing struggles from typical child development. This learning session will begin with an overview of the impact of trauma on the learner and the learning environment, followed by introduction to and practical application of core trauma-informed skills.

Learning Goals: 1) The learner will identify the impact of trauma on learning and development. 2) The learner will describe the importance of a trauma-informed perspective in the classroom setting. 3)The learner will practice essential elements of trauma-informed care.
