Description: Students with dyslexia often require specially designed instruction to be successful in a general education classroom. This may involve accessing special education resources and developing an individualized education plan (IEP). This workshop will provide an overview of the special education process and explain how educators can select appropriate accommodations and modifications to meet students needs. We will discuss common goals and accommodations that are beneficial for many students with characteristics of dyslexia. 

Learning goals: 1.) Students will be able to identify an appropriate goal that could be part of an IEP for a student with dyslexia. 2.) Students will be able to describe a modification or accommodation that could be a part of an IEP for a student with dyslexia.
