Important Computer Lab Policies

  • Using or making illegal copies of software will not be tolerated!
  • Please consult handouts, manuals, or on-line help before requesting help from our staff.
  • Do not leave your computer unattended. If a computer is inactive when logged-on, it will auto log-out after a period of time.  Other users will then be able access it.
  • Do not leave valuables unattended.
  • Printing should be started at least 15 minutes before the lab closes. 

Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, US CODE) governs the making of photocopies and other reproductions (including digital reproductions of copyright materials. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or other reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or other reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse service if in judgment fulfillment of the service is in violation of copyright law.
