UI REACH alumnus Andrew Sukup, along with about a dozen other family members, works for the family business -- Sukup Manufacturing in Sheffield, Iowa. The grain bin manufacturer was started by his grandparents 55 years ago, and is now run by his father, Charles, and uncle, Steve.

Andrew, who is autistic and has learning disabilities, told the Des Moines Register that it's an honor and a privilege to work at the manufacturing company with his dad. The REACH program, in the UI College of Education, helped him moved into his own home and work independently as a welder.
