About the Artwork

Francesca Lindh displays her deft application of glazes in this piece. The layering of colors gives the tile depth in contrast to the flat geometric design. The repetition of indented dots interspersed around the concentric circles serves as an addition source of depth and texture, as well as leading the viewer's eye around the composition. Lindh's signature, or "chop," is located in the lower right corner of the tile.
