In this book club, we will explore who our students are compared to the generations before them and use this knowledge to facilitate conversations on how to inspire, move, and generate a place for creativity in education. Let’s learn how to think outside the box of our educational system. Let’s explore what education can be. Let’s be open to the challenge of change.

We are inviting in-service teachers, pre-service teachers, and TEP faculty at the University of Iowa to participate in this unique one-year long professional development study. The participants will have the opportunity to read and discuss three teacher professional development books. The three books that we will study are: iGenCreative Schools, and Creating Innovators

During this book club session we will be discussing Creative Schools: The Grassroots Revolution That's Transforming Education. You can read more about the book here.

We have free copies of each book at the Teacher Leader Center help desk (N110 LC). Once you have registered for a session, then you are welcome to come by the Teacher Leader Center to pick up your free copy.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact the Baker Teacher Leader Center, 319-335-5623, in advance.
