(May 12-27, 2019) – This two week adventure will take students to the legendary and ancient capital Kathmandu, then up into the mountains to three schools ravaged by the earthquakes there in 2015. Students will have a home stay experience in the villages and will work during the day in rural schools. Students will engage in both an art project and science project and will explore ways to integrate interdisciplinary and global education topics into the curriculum.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact the Baker Teacher Leader Center, 319-335-5623, in advance.
