Presenter: Carin Bondar, biologist and science communicator from the University of the Fraser Valley - British Columbia, Canada

Join us for a special Darwin Day Event with Biologist Carin Bondar, who will talk about her books on animal behavior, Wild Sex and Wild Moms. “In Wild Moms, Dr. Bondar answers a whole host of questions about the animal kingdom: How do moms in the animal kingdom cope with crying babies and potty training?... Accessible and entertaining, Wild Moms is a celebration of moms everywhere--and a book guaranteed to make readers think about motherhood in an entirely new way.” - Pegasus Books

Dr. Bondar has hosted several TV series including World’s Oddest Animal Couples, Stephen Hawking’s Brave New World, and Outrageous Acts of Science. A biologist from the University of the Fraser Valley in British Columbia, Bondar has traveled the world for her work, and discovered 11 new species of beetles and snails in the remote jungles of Borneo. Dr. Bondar is a guest of Iowa City Darwin Day, which receives funding from multiple University of Iowa units and Iowa City community organizations.

This talk is part of the 2020 Iowa City Darwin Day celebration of science. See iowacitydarwinday.org for more details
