Online Workshop (Asynchronous)

Presenter: Peter Bailey, Professional Development Coordinator, Population Education; Peter works with schools, districts, and non-formal education sites around the country to coordinate Population Education workshops for educators. He also oversees the PopEd online graduate course and administers the program’s status as a state-level approved PD-provider. Prior to joining PopEd, Peter was a teacher and technology coordinator with DC Public Schools.

Discover interdisciplinary lessons that connect secondary Science and Social Studies learners with relevant global issues and real-world data. Engage in games, simulations, hands-on demonstrations, and discussions that explore human population growth and related social and environmental issues. Receive a code to access an online library of over 60 classroom-ready, standards-aligned lesson plans, along with readings, infographics, and other classroom resources.

Students who register for the workshop will receive an email by April 14th with access to the necessary instructional materials.
