Purpose: To help primary care providers build their capacity to screen, diagnose, and treat children with/at risk for Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Disabilities and to provide family-centered care that encourages shared-decision making. Target Audience: Physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, social workers, family navigators and others

Objectives:

• Describe nutrition issues and deficiencies faced by children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

• Recall basic nutrition & feeding principles to address common dietary issues

• Identify three resources to provide to families of children with ASD regarding nutrition
