This session will provide an overview of the history of racism in K-12 schools. The session will focus on the aftermath of landmark cases meant to promote equality, but perpetuated deep inequities. Participants will discuss the impact of desegregation for black and brown students and how well-meaning legislation and policies have continued to perpetuate racism and segregation to this present day.
