Schools that fail Black boys are not extraordinary. When schools fail Black boys, it’s because they are doing school the way that school has always been done, in a system that was not built for their success. White women make up 65% of the teaching force in America. If we succeed in shifting outcomes for Black boys, it will be because they responded to the call to change the way we do school. This extraordinary resource brings together research, activities, personal stories, and links to video interviews to help teachers rise to the challenge. It is an eye-opening book for anyone who wants to understand what it means to be White and the reality of what is involved in becoming a White anti-racist and social justice advocate.

Dr. Moore is an author, activist, educator and founder of the White Privilege Conference
