Presenter: Carol Bliese

Carol Bliese is the Senior Director of Teacher Programs for Population Education (PopEd), a national non-profit program that supports teachers covering population and related environmental and social topics in the classroom. Carol facilitates training workshops for K-12 educators throughout the U.S. and Canada, and has lead over 650 interactive workshops in her 10+ years with the program. These include sessions at NCTM, NSTA, NAAEE, NCSS as well as many regional and state-level affiliates. Carol holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.

Discover interdisciplinary lessons that connect K-6 learners with relevant global issues while building skills in science, social studies, math, and literacy. Engage in games, simulations, hands-on demonstrations, and discussions that explore human population growth and related social and environmental issues in this interactive workshop. Receive a code to access an online library of over 40 classroom-ready, standards-aligned lesson plans for elementary grades, digital tools for virtual teaching, out-of-classroom projects, readings, recommended children’s books, and more.
