Presenter: Dr. Bianco 

Dr. Bianco of the University of Colorado Denver will discuss the Pathways2Teaching Program, a unique research-based program that is designed for 11th and 12th grade students to explore teaching as a career choice. The program has been highly successful in recruiting high school students of color into education and related social justice fields. Dr. Bianco will discuss the key elements of this program that can be modeled in districts across the US willing and ready to do the work of diversifying the teacher workforce. Lunch and informal discussion will immediately follow Dr. Bianco’s talk. Participants will have the opportunity to network and engage with colleagues and peers around the key tenets of Dr. Bianco’s talk.
